Family

Pulling up the long gravel road Feeling the tug of all the old memories Knowing my next few weeks Were to be made here Carloads of kids Jumping and running around Travel weary parents giving up on chasing the little ones. My Family reunion In two weeks time we’d all be Gone. Back hour hours away even States away. “Two weeks you’ll never forget” The sign always read. And I promise you we never did. Swimming, fishing, camping, Ping pong and barbecues Our days never ending as Was our laughter. And as your final days draw near Waving and saying your good byes Feeling the sadness of another Summer come and gone But never forget that We’ll all meet up next year For more memories.
