Family

My family is the frown on my face.

My family is the sadness

hidden behind my appearance.

My mother is the warmth in my heart

Because she makes horrible memories fade away.

My mother is the comforting words to my ears

Because she always knows what to say.

My brothers are the audience on the side;

All they do is watch

Never standing up for what is right,

They are the guards to the prison of my life

because i am forbidden to see daylight.

My father is the tears shed from my eyes

Because his words cause me pain inside.

He is the loud shouts and angry cries;

His actions only force me to lie.

I am the fake smile

Because I'll always stay strong.

I am the forced laugh

Because I'll never show something is wrong.
