Family Problems

My sister goes to jail 'cause she won't give up her seat Separate yes, but equal I just can't see What is equal about a fountain that dirty? When I can't sit with my neighbor in the bar for a drink In the streets they call my brother MK Luther Every man would give there tooth for That man and his goals for our people 'Till we're recognized as equal in the steeple My uncle Jimi plays guitar Him and his friends sit all along the watch tower Hoping that the people they meet in Woodstock Will give them the same respect down on the corner block My daughters play jump rope on the streets Dirty old home made shoes upon their feet Waiting for the day that every kid may sit together in school They told Rosa she's equal, but she's nobody's fool.
