Family Time

Laughter echoes of the wall

as someone cracks a joke.

We all sit 'round the table

as Mom and Dad sip their coke.

We all have smiles on our face,

as we try our best to soak

up this happy family time.

Because it isn't always this way.

Eventually, the clock will sadly say,

"It's time for everyone to be on their way."

We'll say our "goodbyes" and "see you next times"

and head our separate ways.

Constantly and desperately waiting

for next time.

Because family time is

the

best

time.
