Family Tree

Words become unspoken

memories are left to be broken

distance seperates you from me,

and time gets in the way of everything

don't blame me

I'm just a human being

My emotions wilt like a will tree

1 and 2 don't add up,

discrepency, I've had enough

I dust off my shoulders, rolling off like boulders

Forgiveness seeps down into my core

there use to be 4

but now there's 3

Tell me, What happened to our family tree

arguments turn into sudden pleas

as the hands around me tighten and squeez
