Family Unfolded
The days I remember in such little time, are always crossing through my mind, the days when I knew that we were happy then, but when, when did the moon start to stay, and the dark angles begin to pray, an explosion hit and those days where gone, gone with out a trace, and the memories I once embraced, my family was taken by theft, now there's really not much left, I use to wake up with a smile, but now that's every once in a while, I was only eight years old, but those dark days are the memories I hold, did I ever have a voice there, to tell our family not to tear, did I ever get the chance to say, that I wanted you to never go away, the sorrow pouring out they didn't hear, and now I tend to love in fear, I feel so lost outside in, my heart cold as it fills with sin, the words I wanted to say slured, but now my words will be heard, your pain toward each other pained me, and I never wanted to see, I still love you in many ways, but on the battle field my waiting for you to care, and when will y'all learn that all I wanted was both of you there. |
