Oh, to turn back time!
Oh, to set the hourglass spinning
backward in its fine
grains of sand, flowing against
time itself.

Oh, to regain the love
my heart once captured!
Oh, to love at all!
That is all,
That is all.

Oh, my mother,
when she turns in her grave
one day, will I regret
that time cannot turn back?
To know I cannot ever go back?

Oh, to the day I was born!
Joyful splendor unfolding,
each day a new being, a new time,
infinitely separate from the last day,
a new day of hope.

Oh, when I sit in my grave,
mourned and mourning,
leaving life behind, though I so full,
I know, that should time turn back after all,
should I not be so full? Should I not know it all?

But oh! To turn back the morning
To capture the essence of a faded spring made new
To know it all again
That is all,
That is all.
