Far beyond survival

1 Samuel 1:15            New English Translation

15 But Hannah replied, “Not so, my lord! I am a woman under a great deal of stress, I haven’t drunk wine or beer. But I have poured out my soul before the Lord.

Far beyond survival

Far beyond my instinct for what I call survival

Is prepared a haven where peace gently resides

When it is disturbed and the crystal sea wrinkles

Tranquility in breathless sound softly cries inside.

Proverbs 18:14                       New English Translation

14 A person’s spirit sustains him through sickness—

but who can bear a crushed spirit?

Unselfish desires? Can it be put that way?

Based on priorities as they appear to self?

To be “self-conditioned” in a sorrowful spirit

Brings one to the point that almost none can bear
