Far From Home

Hurried packing and last minute list checks

I'm going far away but won't return

Hours fretting about moving away from home

all-day driving and moving my stuff in

Parents leaving but I am staying here

Did I make the right choice leaving my home

Would I be able to make new friends here

Could I handle living by myself here

What will become of me in the future

When will I feel welcome in this new home

But everything is going to be fine

Friends will be found wherever I look for them

I will succeed in living on my own

I will gain knowledge and experience

I will feel welcomed and happy shortly
