Far past the end of my day

Once upon a time

I was dirty

I was damned

I allowed a man to dismantle every one of my sanctified strands

I threw my pearls upon the pigs and let him take what was holy

I was bound

I was broken

I was bruised

And honestly I would have never knew until I looked at You

Until I Looked in your eyes that always purify

Until you saw me in my hurt yet you stayed and healed

Even tho my whole life was against your will

You took my hands and cleansed me from all my sin and shame

And blessed me with a new and more beautiful name

Daddy God today I thank you for my life change

For your grace that met me in that small space

And for our story that will continue far past the end of my day
