Farewell to America

When you are gone i have these to say

He is brave and manly,

Witty and handsome,

Honourable and wise

Friendly and virtous

A man of clout and crowd.

Off shore, when the ship has anchored

Dig with strength and might

As one that is honourable

To have a tale to tell of that land of gold.

Offshore, when the ship has anchor

Love your juliet, offspring, siblings, all and sundry

For love are the duty, dignity and destiny

For which you have set.

Offshore, when the ship has anchored,

Remember the Lord is coming.

Make peace with him whom you can not dodge

And bounty shall be your joy

When you are finally gone.
