Farewell To High School

I hated High School with a passion

To many cliques and hostilities were fashioned.

If you were late you, needed a pass

If you didn't have one, you weren't allowed in class.

You would miss more by going for a pass but could never say

"Teacher, you're being an ass"!

But if the Teacher was late, there was no debate

They'd make a joke, pop open a marker, and write on their big white slate.
