Farewells and goodbyes

alike but so different

you pour your heart out

i am distant

unspoken

intrigued but intimidated

you’re in and out

mysterious

would you notice me if i shout

i see you

there’s something about you

is it the way you understand me

or you being someone I can look to

little things bring to my attention

your eyes meet mine

random acts of kindness

gave me life

leaving without farewells

left me lonely

only hoping to see you again

certain that it will happen
