Fascination

A rough grinding sound;

A quick, quiet pop;

It dances in the wind.

A smell most would reject;

A power all should fear;

It captures my gaze.

A release of the trigger;

A small puff of smoke;

It is gone.

A wandering mind;

A replaced thumb;

It starts.
