Fashion.
We strive for it,
We thrive for it,
An impeccable sensation of self awareness that you look “dope or fly”,
$2,000 for a pair of sneakers because they have a symbol on them?
5 grand for a coat with fur?
This is us.
This is our generation.
We beg for the feeling of being popular but in reality it’s not us.
It’s not our personality or beliefs.
It’s what’s on the outside.
Our hats, clothes, hair.
We focus on fake eyelashes and fingernails for what?
Beauty.
Gucci and Louie.
Yeezy and Truie.
Who are we without them?
We’re putting a price tag on our life.
We need to wake up.
Gold chains and diamond rings,
We need to focus on the greater things.
But that’s not us.
This is us.
This is fashion.
