Pretend for a moment we don’t have cars.

How different we would exist.

The people who would still be here,

Henry Ford’s glory passed elsewhere.

Would we still have tight schedules to keep?

Could we slow down to a pace

That we could absorb each house’s frame,

All the beauty in the windows.

Instead of blazing by in our bubble…

It is so easy to just pass the open fields

To disregard the blur in our side view.

What if we could take it all in?
