Fat

My body feels heavy Like gravity is working Just a little too hard My weight drips down Across my body Invading every sacred space Making it unattractive Unappealing Disgusting Fat I am a vessel Filled more than I should My legs and arms and fingers Like sausages My stomach a mound of rotten flesh A behind just a little too wide Pants that don't fit Dresses that squeeze Uncomfortable Under my arms Around my waist If my body were a temple It would span a thousand miles Yet only one or two worshippers would come to my door And no-one would admire from a distance
