A Fatal Attraction

Lay flat on the ground, really feel it...

Feel it all at once,
and then nothing at all.

The grass seems wet, but it's dying,
and the sky can't decide
how too fall...

To snow, or to rain.

Still under its wavering mind,
each drop hits the ground
with a certain sweet sound.

Though in vain.

Still,
it reminds me...

Of the last dying bubble
in the last bath i'd have.
The last one on my tongue
with the last breath.

Now i listen to your footsteps,
frantic in the dark,
and i wonder...

Could this be death?

Not peaceful
like the sleet drops...

Dying like my bubbles
as they kiss the ground
round my head.

Sliding down blades
turned yellow
from green
now a deep red.

Red,

like the walls in the house,
where mama would say,
sweetie stay...

But these ears would not listen
when so sweetly enchanted,
and the sun ran away
with the day.

This brain was bewildered
by a brilliant blue,

and mine couldn't find
any hate in those eyes.

And for this blindness you'll see
what will become of me...

For atop
this cold grass

lies demise...
