Fatal infidelity
Dear Darryl,
Anger in my eyes
Envy in my heart
But do I truly despise
The one who was there for me from the start
I thought he was my forever
I thought he was the one
But my love for him was severed
When his new relationship had begun
Our relationship was like a dream
And I was lost in the clouds
I guess my visions weren’t so keen
And everything he said to me wasn’t a vow
He said we would grow old
And be in love till the end of time
But he left me out in the cold
For a woman he thought was more divine
So what was mine
Is now hers
And while I pretend to be fine
My visions, my thoughts, my feelings, are now a sudden blur
