Fatality ... the temple within ... Satire

Haggai 1:2

The Indifference of the People

The Lord Who rules overall says this: “These people have said,

‘The time for rebuilding the Lord’s temple has not yet come.’”

Fatality … the temple within …

Running out of gas early in the day

Loosing all energy to keep on moving on

A life in disarray ... sitting on a tray

to be carried by someone before the day is done

On whose table I land is beyond my choice

I’ll be swallowed up by a greedy appetite

A sacrifice in silence that lost its voice

in a defeated circumstance reaping just “despise”

All that’s left for now is to be digested

What’s left of me will end up in the commode

To be wiped and flushed if you are interested

with the ones like myself who fell by the road

Where were you to help when panic called through me?

You passed by covering your ears singing a song of worship

What is wrong with you that you only blame me

and did not want to help and so denied our kinship?

You are strong in faith when things go your way

You feel so secure with what you have accomplished

But what about me I am dying every day

until there is no hope left and I am abolished?
