Fate.

Can we conquer our predestined lives or,

Is life quite set with no ifs, ands, or buts?

If so, then a boring life is done for.

No adventures, forget getting your cuts.

Not unless it’s written in one’s scripture.

If this is true, you can’t change anything.

Your life is controlled by a descriptor.

Like Hercules, our fate is just a string.

Yet, some people have escaped death’s clutches,

Have gone from rags to riches, ill to health.

You shouldn’t use predestiny as crutches.

If you work hard, you can obtain more wealth.

One who lets predestiny hold them back,

Will settle and life will certainly lack.
