Fate

I was young once with simple goals

Watching the moon against the water bowl

The poison spread through the midnight gloom

Looming its eyes in wonder of fate

Tears that hold the destiny wheel

Of the ones that had lost their will to speak

To speak the words from a time once lived

Legos, duck toys, and music relived

Speaking what you feel is harder to wield

When sentence spoke are jumbled and meek

I’ve given thoughts to letters that combine as one

For my name is meaning from the parents I love

Guiding my hand to the end of the race

Embracing my passion with each steady pace

Darkness looms behind every shelf

That holds warrants my need for strength

To gain the power I have inside

For revealing the purpose of my fate
