Fate
Fate
I stood upon the crest of a hill that
Overlooked the city, the lights,
The bridge, the traffic-all mixed in my mind
As I gaze intensely up at the sky.
Then I imagined written all across it
Tomorrow and its unfolding events
Affecting my life. But I could not
Decipher it, yet I knew the next day
My fate would unfold what was written.
The next day another sky met my eyes.
The same sky as yesterday, written across it
A language I could not comprehend.
