Fateful Wind

You know that time it was windy right

I remember because it was the same night

You came into my room and told me hey

I’ve been thinking about you all day

Something went through my mind at the sight of you

I felt it surge and rush through and through

My body working overtime just to understand

How you could fathom to touch me with such a hand

You think I didn’t notice the mark on your neck?

The one from the night before

You know

When you promised you would spend it

With

Me?

Guess you forgot and anyway I had myself

I bundled up and listened as the wind hit the wall against my shelf

Anyway thank you for making everything so clear

Though my bones remain tense every time you come near.
