Father

Father oh why, oh why did you go

Me and the siblings miss you

But you chose the drugs of those who cared for you bro

I watch videos of you and it makes me weak

But you chose the drugs to cope with your demons

I miss you and it's hard as so it may seem

I make jokes to cope with the pain

But at night I watch you die over and over in my dream

Father oh why, oh why did you go

The pain in my head isoverwhelming

I think the pain you felt has crried on to me

But I will not chose a bottle over my family

You were my light through the dark

You are the reason to my pain

I don't talk to people about the life I have lived so I don't pass the pain

Been through a lot man and your not here to give a hug and make a joke

Im going to end this poem here, thank you for reading this

I appreciate the chance for this scholarhship and if I don't get it

I'll just keep doing hundreds more scholarships to help my way through college

Goodbye - JT
