Father

From birth you were my guide

You showed me everything in stride

Taught me how to be, how to live

Gave me everything you could give

It wasn't until your death

I realized your presence had such breadth

Even though we cannot speak

You're the one whose answers I still seek

In my memories and in your things

Guidance you still can bring
