Daddy's little girl

I didn't fit the definition

You could never give me a twirl

Coming to my sporting events was not your mission

Searching for someone to guide me and give me recognition

Who knew that a tennis coach would be the one to fill the position

You taught me more than how to hit a ball

You gave me the confidence to be me and get back up when I fall

Made me laugh when I could not be calmed

Years later, we still share a special bond

And when I look to the sidelines I have a father figure

Now I am more determined than ever to become victor
