Father of Mine

Seeing you go would kill us too. I truly don’t know what we would do without you. Your heart would make you go But there is something I really want you to know Your heart beating is what keeps us around Without my heart would just fall through to the ground. Dad you are what makes me keep going and learning Please go and make things better You gone would make us not together. Look at you, do you want to end up dead? And I know this is something you don’t want said You can’t make us live in this hell This is my story that I need to tell Why would you want us to live with this pain? Why would you want to go through this again? I guess you don’t really have true strength. Your heart beating is what keeps us around Without my heart would just fall through to the ground. Dad you are what makes me keep going and learning Please go and make things better You gone would make us not together. Look at your past, look at your dad Don’t you think if he saw this he wouldn’t be glad? Think about your life, your family and friends Don’t you think their lives would completely descend? Look what you have in the palm of your hand A life, a home, a wife, a child The list would just keep going for a while I want my kids to see my dad See how my life was truly grand Your heart beating is what keeps us around Without my heart would just fall through to the ground. Dad you are what makes me keep going and learning Please go and make things better You gone would make us not together. Dad you are my world Listen to me your little girl I want you better I don’t want you to be a forgetter And to be forgotten Your heart beating is what keeps us around Without my heart would just fall through to the ground. Dad you are what makes me keep going and learning Please go and make things better You gone would make us not together.
