From a Father to a Son

Location

I have given you your share,

and you have left, my son.

Your brother stays,

helps with work just begun.

It has been so long,

so so long.

Your voice jsut a memory,

a memory still strong.

Are you alright,

are you well.

My heart is troubled,

because I cannot tell.

Your brother and I,

we work hard here.

Slaving away,

year after year.

Then I see you,

coming up the road.

Dusty and rugged

as a toad.

And now we celebrate!

For you have come back!

I love you always,

my son.

Death to life,

now we celebrate!
