Father to Son


He told me that he loved me

His head was weathered, his smile was crooked, and his hands we hard against my face

 

He told me I wouldn't be a disappointment

That playing baseball was better than dance

That no son of his would be a faggot....

 

Now, the stains of memories past are infectious and invasive...

But not right....
