Father Time
Dear Father Time,
Hello, I dont believe we've spoken in a few years. However, it seems when I have tried to slow you down to speak, all you do is pass me by. I understand when I was younger I didnt appreciate you enough, rather I hoped you would proceed quicker. So here I am, whole heartedly apologizing to you. I was young and did not realize the simplicity you offered. The way you would extend my days as I played in the sun. The way you rushed through the nights I felt hopeless crying to the moon. Now all that I can do is yearn for those days, and Im so sorry. The months are flying by like days and days are feeling like hours. The sun falls just as quick as it rose, as I fall into routines. Im overlooking these days and gazing towards a unknown future. However, if youve taught me anything in my life it was to appreciate the moment as a gift, thats why we refer to it as the present. I sincerely apologize for letting you down, I hope we can amend the relationship we had in the past.
Sincerly,
Maritzan Navar.
