A Father Who's Most Wanted

Dear Daddy,

See I could never get the courage to tell you how much you really hurt me,

Your absence made my heart feel like it was growing an abscess.

The father that is most wanted is a father that acknowledges my needs and jumps right on it.

A father most wanted is a father who follows through with his word.

A father most wanted is a father who can make me feel secured so that shall a day come

that a boy breaks my heart, I can come running into your arms in search of a change of heart.

A father most wanted is one that can protect me and in return I honor thee.

But how can I "Honor thy father" if thy father is not there.

Broken promises leads to regret while regret leads to resentment. 

Resent thee then I resent me.

False hope in you lead me to false results. 

So, the father most wanted is a father I never had.

But in the end I guess it wasn't all too bad.
