Father's Day

graduate of lexington and onto Miami

bigger and better things ahead

avid runner and track star for years

doctor of veterinary medicine is how the final diploma read

tassels over his shoulders

would not be the end

building a practice from the ground up

perseverance is the message he would send

a man of accomplishments would be an understatement

as Dr. Worner is far more than his degrees

in '99 he would become a father

to a little girl with the same aspirations as he

she grew up telling all of her friends

about the puppies her dad delivered just the weekend before 

or the time she got to spend

reading books to every client to walk through the door

but her dad's career was not where the words would end

she recalls their time playing pig in the driveway

or him quizzing her multiplication skills

from august through may

as she grew older

his support would not waiver

sending her off to miami 

so that she too could experience the accomplishments of later

going forward

she knows from him

intelligence without dedication

is a line far too thin

he taught her to put in 

everything that she's got

for success is not a measurement of monetary

but every key that unlocks 

so thank you, Dad

for being the dopest I ever saw
