"A Father's Farewell"

The final day unknown,
When hate transforms to tears,
Farewell.

The indestructible bond like duct tape rips,
As time intoxicates a heart so vile.

Memories laid to rest at once,
Where only dreams can fill the voids
That were brought by many trials.

No longer can hate rule,
When the grave is all that lies,
A farewell is only temporary,
Just as life, until it is buried.

Promise one day to come,
A love untarnished will be derived,
For never more will sorrow prevail,
When eternity is revealed.
