To Fathom My Passion

A note to the reader:

Take hold of the winsome mind

It shall birth wonders for the earth

And fathom the passionate kind

Because they love for all it’s worth

My view:

Since I emerged from my mother’s womb

I have grown passionate for what I adore

But now I am running as my life starts to bloom

Yet it isn’t from what I deeply abhor

Behold! Deep in my innermost being

A realization comes to last

It is passion from which I am fleeing

Yet I am holding onto my sinful past

Though I may be just a child

The mellifluous tones come from maturity

Events that forced me to tame the wild

That passionate part of me that needs security

Now the truth hits me

The fog has cleared

I cannot flee

The passion I feared
