Faulkner Taught Me

(poems go here)And when you hear that echoed old shadow like a fallen tree did you hear a sound? Do you hear the sound of falling hearts and falling footsteps along with the sound of the falling branches and the leaves and tingle of nature crying and screaming when you broke off the veins of that heart that single-soldered heart and you never asked if it was fine to cut some branches to make yourself a home with an idea of some type of familial landscape cut into the curve of the hut that you made when you made a home for something inferior; a you; a yourself, a something.
