Fear
For so long
I've roamed around with my head down
A voice equivalent to a whisper that
It hardly mattered.
Shattered eyes,
Anxiety shooken, and confused opinions,
Distraught confidence
And a life driven by fear.
Fear what people would think
What they would say-
Fear of rejection.
But little did I realize
That the only one I was scared of was me
And I realized
That when I walked a little taller
Talker a little louder
And stood a little bolder
Despite whether or not people listened
Or cared,
As long as I knew who I was
And as long as I knew that at the end of the day,
I am assured my own happiness,
I've learned that fear is nothing but a waste of space,
And a roadblock to confidence,
And contentness.
In order to get things in life,
It takes courage,
And boldness,
And I'm on the journey to find out how to become all of those things.
