The fear

Tick tick goes the clock till death comes to me in a dream. Till destruction comes in my waking nightmare in this twisted systematical error. Tied to the ground when flight is the only escape. The earth opens up and swallows me whole, from the bottom of this jagged crevice the sun shines radiantly beckoning me into its light. But climb as I my in this whole I will stay for bound to the earth I remain. I cannot escape this pit of despair to roam free in the open air. Serenity so close at hand sinks farther away with every passing day. How could I ever hope to live this way?
