FEAR

Fear.

A devil straight from hell

Causes anger to swell

Fear.

A demon

With long wings

Laced with blood

Dripping down

Like a butterfly after rain

The eyes

Dark, and filled with sorrow

The skin so translucent

You can see every,

Single

withering

Muscle,

Joint,

And bone

Fears languid smile

Has blood on each

Shiny, tiny, tinted, tooth

To consume, connect, collect, correct

The world

All fears consume you

Fear.

Creates inhabitations and stereotypes

Like a sharpie on a table

Getting rid of fear takes more than one wipe

Like a musician

Playing a pure tune

One wrong note

And the song is ruined

truth dissipates

When fear

is near

Your smiles

fades

Your eyes

widen

Your mind

becomes an abyss

The world you won’t truly miss

The fear can only be destroyed

If we

WE

Return to an earlier state;

Recommence into an innocent child

Who has no fear

And has no sadness

Fearless

Frightless

Free

We were once a dove

Peaceful, pure, polite

Fear.

Doesn’t harm us

Or alarm us

Fear.

Freedom, fate, fame, or a taste of victory

All come with fears

All come with tears

To escape we NEED

Hope

One small shine

One thin line

Of hope

But you have none

Darkness falls over you

Your mind

An empty abyss

The faint ambulance siren

Rings through your ears

But you don’t hear a sound

A tear lands on your shoulder

But you don’t

Feel a thing

You taste sweet blood

Rolling down your cheek

But you can’t take a peek

Or taste a thing

The smell of sterilized plastic

And desperation lingers

But you can’t smell anything

Why,

How,

When,

Where,

What…

You see darkness and feel defeat

You have been stolen

By fear himself

He looks in your teary red eyes

His smile becomes a steady

Greedy

Smirk

As he consumes you

His eyes have no sorrow

But hunger

BUT THEN

One flash one kind word

One word

One four letter word

In the jumble of alphabet soup

That is reality

One flash one kind word

One word

One four letter word

In the jumble of alphabet soup

That is a reality

Hope

Someone hoped

Hope like an angels stature

Hopes

Long luxurious wings

Beautiful gleaming eyes

And pure white robe

Pulls you out of the dark

Shows you the light

And with time you see the bright, white, light

Setting you

Fearlessly, flying, free

You have escaped fear

You

have

won.
