Fear

Dear Fear,

Sitting here now I wonder when you shall strike

Will it be today or perhaps tonight

I find myself wondering what will you feel like

Why must you torture me in such ways

Please I beseech you, let me be

Free me from the cage you lock me in

I will not stand by

I will not let you keep me trapped

I am finally free

Fear, you no longer control me

Wait, what’s that I see

Is that you creeping up on me

Fear, please let me be
