Fear of change

I don’t wanna let go

And If I did will my heart be cold

I wanna stay warm

Not in the shadows

Fearing hatred

I don’t wanna grow up

Cause if I did

You would see more tears

Rattling in a cage

Dispensable to the rage

Trapped in my heart

Boarded up by bricks and sticks

Made to protect everyone else

Fortunate to be myself

Not

And at what cost

If I can’t be free

I torture me

Myself

Maybe everyone else

I fear change

I fear change

I fear change

Deep in my soul

I fear change

I fear change

I fear change

I wanna let go.
