Fear In The City

My eyes were beginning to burn with tears and rage.

I was lost in a dangerous, unfamiliar city.

My phone was as dead as my hope.

Why did I come here?

I was alone. It was 3:00 am.

Men crawled around the streets as if they were monsters that must be slaughtered.

I tugged my jacket around to cover my body as they stared.

I make it clear to myself that if I am touched, I will leave this Earth tonight.

You must not allow them to see you in fear.

I swallowed my tears and put on a show with a stern face.

I walked as if I was able to hurt anyone that came in my way.

Viole words came from the monsters mouths.

I ignored.

I knew in that moment, I would survive
