Fear of Falling

I can see us miles in the future... But don't know who we are there. I see myself steadily up the hill towards that college diploma, winded when I get to the top, But jumping up and down like a prizefighter with the hugest smile of satisfaction gleaming on my face. Until I realize that on the other side of that hill top is a world of possibilities. Possibilities that terrify me. I don't know if I'll get that job, if I'll be able to afford that rent, to feed that baby. I'd love to say that we'll be holding hands on our front porch when we're old, But as soon as I envision that, it crumbles away just as fast. I want to be able to swing away, without having to stop to have to push off the ground. Scraped and bruised on the ground. I want to be free t do my own without your burdens pushing down on me. How will I know this is what I want?

I'm a senior at Van Horn in Independence, MO. I have very strong beliefs on bullying, suicide prevention, respect for others, and being open/honest. My work's very jumbled sometimes but sometimes that's just how it comes out!
