Fear is a Funny Thing

One small portion of the brain

Is all it takes to bring us pain

Fear is a funny thing

When all I feel is overwhelm

And fright begins to take the helm

It pushes me to sing

There are things I can ignore

Yet others shake me to the core

Fear is a funny thing

When every face is an angry frown

And the world comes falling down

It pushes me to sing

Anxiety can tear me apart

Terror can rattle inside my heart

But fear is a funny thing

It pushes me to sing
