Fear is hope its self

Fear is hope its self

The four walls surround me

Consuming me by the second

I look to either side to see nothing but an image that reflects upon me

Fear isn’t just a word anymore

I am fear

The fear that grows around me, stomps around me

Pounding and screaming in my head

Until I can no longer endure the pain

Fear isn’t around me anymore

Fear was a friendly

A friend that over stayed the empty void in me

The constant visit of an unwanted friend

Until I could not take it no longer

I crumpled fear like pieces of unwanted, overused paper

Pieces of me fell with it

The pieces that told me I wasn’t enough

The pieces who mocked me for every wrong thing

The pieces that laughed at me

The pieces that told me I wasn’t perfect

Suddenly everything was clear

The white noise grew louder

Louder

The day I decided to face the music

To look into a mirror

To see exactly what I was facing

Me

Not fear

But human

Flesh, imperfections, and soul

Fear

Fear is hope its self

Fear is hope

Hope for a new beginning

To crumble every doubt, you had

 To strive to become better

Hoping is fearing you will not be perfect

Fear is hope its self
