Fear itself

dark.

it seizes like a wave enveloped by a storm

climbing, swiftly, pounding

crashing like a tree on soft earth

dusk.

rustling, quieter now

serene, yet eery, strength builds

like a wave yet with gentleness

light.

clear, and confident

waves no longer billowing

smooth, simultaneous, confirmed with itself

Me.

now strong

now confident

now built for the storm

unafraid of the dark below

I am serene.
