The Fear to Love Again

Listen closely and you shall hear,

The screams and cries of all who fear. 

Of all lost souls just filled with sorrow,

Waiting and longing for the day of tomorrow.

A double edged sword is what this is.

Courage to risk being torn apart by the same person you kiss.

Without trust this relationship has no foundation,

To be hurt and be able to love again becomes my mission.

You be my rock and in return, you can lean on me.

I will fail you countless times for I'm not perfect, you will see.

Because of you, I aspire to be better,

And all of this I write in a letter.

Be the light in my path I beg of you,

For darkness and contamination is all too true.

A pain and torment of a broken heart is all too real, 

Something I never again hope to feel.

You are worth the risk of pain,

After all the affliction in my life was laid.

To you I give my everything to,

And all because I love you.
