Fear Nothing

Fear Nothing

Women rise, worldwide

Inexplicably, yet powerfully.

From the top of the King of all God's heads,

To the weak chamber of a Colt .45 straight from the Taliban,

Athena is in us all, Athena is in Malala.

An almighty Goddess of wisdom and war,

Fierce and a fight that is seen from worlds away,

Casted down and sent to be shown

Through the life of another; Malala Yousafzai,

A true hero of our time.

Who takes on battles without question,

And voices opposition of the mass fire at women’s superiority,

Who conquered near death and continued the fight,

And who embodied sagacity and rationality in every trial,

Athena is amongst us again.

So, let us not allow this to be in vein,

Let us inherit the greatness,

Let us pursue the difficult paths that lie ahead,

Let us stand up, learn and advocate, be heard and rise again.

Let us, fear nothing.
