the fear that runs within

On the edge, the darkness cascades

A waterfall of fear

A mind,body, and soul

Clouded by which they refuse to hear

A look down amongst the abyss

Enough to spark the rapid thumps of one’s hearts

A reassurance, claiming content

Refusal of something new

Pulling you back, scared of the unknown

In fear of what it may do

All it takes, a jump towards the end with no light

For a person can never know unless they take a giant step of might

And once the jump is done

There is no going back

Engulfed by the feeling of what was once the unknown

No longer hidden, the light shown

No longer cowered, by the constant dark

New adventures set, ready to embark

What once held you back, now set free,

For fear does nothing, but stop thee.
