Fear of Speaking in front of faces

Looking up from my laces

I see their faces

Their eyes staring into mine

I wish I was blind

My face as red as can be

Oh why is it always me?

Stuttering over my words

I quickly begin to slur

My body becoming hot

I might as well not

Here I go again and again

I'm going to go insane!

The thought of everyone watching me

Doesn't make me go ¨yippee¨

Yet, I was able to let that go

When I decided to say no

So I overcame my fear

It took me less than a year

I watched a youtube lesson

Which helped me give a better impression

I still get nervous though

Im not perfect, no

But remembering to unclench my teeth

I begin to breathe

Then think of all the wonderful things

To when I was a child on swings

And to give a little and kind smile

To think, this is just for awhile.
